Crash results in serious charges
Recently in Sullivan, a driver allegedly ran a red light and caused a serious accident. The crash happened at the intersection of State Route 48 and U.S. 41. According to police reports, a pickup truck was headed north on U.S. 41 when the driver ran a red light at a high rate of speed and crashed into three other vehicles at the intersection.
Authorities said a total of four people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. Reportedly, one of the motorists was seriously injured. Reports said U.S. 41 was closed for nearly six hours while the wreck was investigated and cleaned. Police noted that the driver of the pickup truck was charged with reckless driving and criminal recklessness.
